Shangri-La Wedding in Paris with Kassandra and Rob

When Kassandra and Rob asked me to photograph their Shangri-La wedding in Paris, I couldn’t hold my excitement. The Shangri-La hotel in Paris is one of my favorite hotels in the city as it has great costumer service, the location is very beautiful and it has an amazing views over the Eiffel Tower from some of it’s rooms.

Kassandra and Rob are an absolute delight to work with. This Canadian couple is madly in love and wanted to have their fairytale wedding in Paris with all the glamour the city has to offer.

I did my best to ensure they enjoyed every minute of their Parisian experience and this clearly shows in their pictures.

Now, let’s read about their love story and their experience in their Shangri-La Paris wedding

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend by accident. I was actually supposed to be somewhere else at the time at a friend’s birthday party. It was fate that we crossed paths on the street that evening. Rob asked me on a date soon after.

How long have you been together?

We have been together 7 years. The day following our elopement was our 7 year anniversary together, which made getting married all the more special.

Kassandra, What’s the one thing you like the most about Robert and why?

I like how genuine and caring he is. He has a gentle soul and is  an all round great guy.

Robert, What’s the one thing you like the most about Kassandra and why?

I like how determined and smart she is. She is also a beautiful person inside and out which makes her even more special.

Why did you decide to do your wedding in Paris? Why is Paris so special?

We wanted to make getting married a romantic adventure so we jetted off to Paris, just the two of us. The ‘City of Love’ is the most romantic place to say ‘I do’ We fell in love with Paris when had our engagement photos there and wanted to continue our love story in Paris.

 Why did you choose the Shangi – La Hotel as your wedding venue in Paris?

The Shangri-La is one of the most beautiful palace hotels in all of Paris!  We were overjoyed to stay in such a place and they were truly amazing to us.

What did you have in mind when you were looking for your wedding photographer in Paris?

We wanted a photographer that we felt conformable with and one that would give us the most beautiful photos as memories of our wedding day.

Can you say a few words about how it was working with Gloria?

Gloria was a complete joy to work with. She made our day a story with photos of not only us, but the surroundings that gave setting to our day. I could tell she cared as much about having the best photos for our day as I did.

What tips or recommendations would you give to future brides and grooms who want to get married in Paris?

I suggest that you relax and take each moment in! The day will be perfect because this is your day together. It is about the love that the both of you share. Focus on the overall day and be happy! You are in the most romantic city in the world after all!
